An extraordinary C18th Welsh primitive oak chopping block table.
The gnarly, heavy, wonderfully tactile oak slab top, some 4” thick, raised on four chunky stick legs.
Beautiful old strengthening repair to the underside.
Purchased in Montgomeryshire, from where it almost certainly originated, this is a museum quality piece of primitive vernacular furniture.
Welsh, c1780.
