A wonderful late C19th carved and turned wooden ceremonial axe, retaining its original painted finish and decoration.
Made for the Ancient Order of Oddfellows, the axe bears the distinctive hand on heart symbol and the letters F, L, T for ‘faith, love, truth.’
A great piece of decorative folk art.
