A wonderful, utterly charming, mid C20th, scratch built, painted wooden model village.
Made in the 1940’s or early 50’s, almost certainly for a child by a parent or grandparent, the set includes a hotel, car garage, post office and the delightfully named ‘M. Tea, Grocer’, as well as two houses.
The largest, the hotel, measures: H: 5.25” (13.5cm); W: 8.75” (22.5cm); D: 3.75” (9.5cm).
