Late C19th London Auctioneer’s Rostrum

A late C19th painted pine fruit and vegetable auctioneer’s rostrum, used at either Spitalfields or Borough Markets in London.

In untouched condition, raised on cast iron wheels with its original paint and signwriting to the front.

Evocative and historic, this is a unique survivor from the London markets in the Victorian era.

Measurements: H: 63” (160cm); W: 42.5” (108cm); D: 27.25” (69.5cm).
