A late C17th transitional joined oak open armchair with the panelled back typical of earlier Wainscot chairs.
Wonderful nutty colour and rich patination.
Provenance: from the family home of a Welsh sea captain, Rhyd-y-Clafdy, Llyn Peninsula, North Wales.
