A late C19th English country house armchair, newly upholstered in an attractive chintz fabric.
A very good quality chair with number stamped back leg.
While it bears a resemblance to chairs by Morris and Co. and by James Schoolbred, I have not been able to firmly attribute it to a particular maker.
