C18th Welsh Oak Chest on Stand

£1,690.00

A very handsome, mid C18th, Welsh oak chest on stand.

A superb quality piece, made in the Vale of Glamorgan, during the reign of George II, c1750, the chest is constructed in oak throughout.

It is elevated with decorative inlaid cross banding of bog oak and holly, a decorative shaped apron and also has a really rather wonderful secret drawer.
