An exceptional C18th Welsh settle of desirably small proportions.
Constructed, c1780, almost entirely in fruitwood except for the seat which is a thick slab of oak.
This oak has been reused from an earlier piece of furniture, likely a bench, perhaps two centuries older again.
Stout and solid, beautiful wear, commensurate with age, and the best colour and patination.
Measurements: H: 45.75” (116cm); W: 38” (96cm); D: 16” (40.5cm).
