A splendid early C18th oak dresser base, unabashedly wearing all the scars of nearly 300 years of use.
Made in the Welsh Marches, c1740, with a rich, red oak colour, the scrubbed two plank top suggesting it has spent much of its life in a kitchen or even a dairy.
A sumptuous piece of period furniture which would make an ideal serving table, console or hall table.
Wear commensurate with age and use. Scars, running repairs, bags of character.
