An unusual early C20th pine metamorphic ladder chair, very much in the style of Hatherley of Gloucestershire.
Charles Allen Jones of Down Hatherley, Gloucestershire patented a number of items, in particular artist’s easels and folding tables.
The ‘over-engineered’ design of this metamorphic chair is very reminiscent of Hatherley stepladders.
